On the 8th of April 2013, the library of SMK Seafiled launched an event called Library Week (Minggu Pusat Sumber) that spanned the entire week from 8th (Monday) to 12th (Friday) of April 2013. During the launching of the Library Week, the librarians of SMK Seafield performed a funny sketch about the many types of books that can be found in the library.
Every day, throughout the week, an activity called "Bacaria Seafield" whereby every day before school starts during the school assembly, every student is required to bring a book to school to read for 20 minutes. This activity is held to encourage reading throughout the student-body.
During The Library Week, the library also hosted many fun and exciting activities all pertaining to the resources and facilities that the Library of SMK Seafield has to offer.
On Wednesday (10.04.2013) the library held a Scrabble Competition in the Self-Access-Learning(SAL) Room from 11.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. for the afternoon session and 2.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m. for the morning session.
On Thursday(11.04.2013) on the other hand the library held a Congkak Competition again in the Self-Access-Learning(SAL) Room from 11.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. for the afternoon session and 2.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m. for the morning session.
Lastly, the library also held a book exhibition in the library. During the exhibition which was held throughout the week from 8.10 a.m. to 4.00 p.m., students were able to browse through a wide selection of books ranging from fiction to non-fiction and even reference books and buy any book that they wanted.
